Historic Bascom - Williams House, Circa 1872

Welcome to historic 70 Main Street, South, Uxbridge. Built around 1872, this home has maintained its character and charm throughout the years. A detailed history of the house and its original residents can be found in “Uxbridge - Scugog Historic Homes and Heritage Buildings” by Paul Arculus and J. Peter Hvidsten. A copy of this book is available to view at the property. The house was originally built for Mary Bascom and Alonzo Williams. Mr. Williams was the first clerk for Uxbridge.
